I mean, seriously, what exactly was offensive about that image?

Even if you wanted to take it on firmly religious grounds that it's "infernal" imagery - it's not exactly SEDUCTIVE! I don't want that thing to give me a hug, nor would I care to take a walk near the magma river. So... WTF?

The above image is actually cropped. I think what they objected to was the skull and rib cage in the lower left, not that the image is offensive even with that.

That's possibly a river of blood too.

Kind of badass.

Judging from the pixilated-end result, the band or label just said, "Ok, f**k it. Whatever. Just zoom it in and be done". They got one minor complaint and did the absolute minimum to correct the issue.

Don't forget, they were still probably paying off legal fees from the whole backward-messaging court case just a few years earlier and didn't need the hassle of another controversy.
