| My head would explode... no way I could boil it down to 5 CDs... unless I can cheat and make 5 CD-R compilations of a variety of bands/songs | |

| Ok - only 5? OUCH! So hypothetically speaking if I could only keep 5 - I'd have to have some variety, so I'd take these: Sodom - Agent Orange (for my thrash intake) Therion - Lemuria/Sirius B Depeche Mode - Violator Opus III - Mind Fruit Manowar - Kings of Metal |

| Very tough but I'll list some of the albums that I listen to on a regular basis these days:
Edge Of Thorns-Savatage Somewhere In time-Iron Maiden The Battle-Allen/Lande Ocenborn-Nightwish (mainly for Sleeping Sun) Burden Of Truth-Circle II Circle
(good thing this is hypothetical or I'd go crazy trying to REALLY decide which to limit to)

You and me both! By the way - each day you asked this question - my answer would be different. For example - had you asked this last week I would have answered this way: Sacrament - Haunts of Violence Ultimatum - Puppet of Destruction Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss Deliverance - Weapons of Our Warfare King's X - Out of the Silent Planet I was more in a 'thrash' mood last week. This week I'm in a variety mood. |

damn, i'd be leaving behind some awesome albums. Why 5? I dunno, i guess it's a challenge for any true metal head to make the sacrifice and choose and it's also interesting to see what it all boils down to. It was hard for me to make the choices too!

| Wow, this is extremely difficult. As another poster pointed out, I'd need to have some variety, so...
New Order - Substance (for when I'm in an upbeat synth-rock mood)
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time (my metal fix)
"Return of the Living Dead" soundtrack (goth and punk all in one, great collection of artists)
Front Line Assembly - Tactical Neural Implant (terrific industrial dance)
Concrete Blonde - Bloodletting (Johnette Napolitano's voice is soo soothing..) |
