Fot me, it is a no brainer - LOUDNESS - THE SUN WILL RISE AGAIN.
There was alot of really cool metal albums besides this in 2014, though.

This one is mood music for me. If I'm in a certain mood, it's absolutely mesmerizing. If I'm in other moods, I can't get it into it at all and find it boring. Definitely a great piece of work either way, though.

I almost went with JP as well. And I just finally picked up a copy of the new Orange Goblin. Diggin' it so far.
Sax, Night Demon has the ep out and their first full length comes out next Tuesday. They have a distinct NWOBHM-vibe to 'em. Like classic Diamond Head or Raven.

I have followed all of the Orange Goblin threads throughout the years. Cool band. MonsterTruck, Admiral of Black, etc. But put them against the bands that I have loved for 25 years? Kix, Accept, Loudness, HELIX? Cannot cross over.
