So anyone familiar with this 80s hard-rock group? I'm sure some will recognize them as the band Nikki Sixx used to be in before joining the Crue(Blackie Lawless and Izzy Stradlin also had short stints in London before forming their own bands) they also appeared in "Decline of Western Civilization Part 2"(along with other obscure hard rock acts like "Odin" and "Seduce").
Musically these guys were pretty good and it's a real shame they never hit it big like some of their ex-members did. Also their first two albums "Non-Stop Rock" and "Don't Cry Wolf" have never been officially released on CD to my knowledge.

I prefer Nadir D'Priest's work in Steel Prophet, but I wouldn't mind acquiring their albums. This band is little more than a Nadir D'Priest vehicle due to the constantly changing lineup and the complete lack of any real output. A reissue of their 3 80s albums would be nice and I'm sure it will happen eventually.

This is one of my top 10 metal songs - ever - easy ! The power and wildness recorded is top notch energy - When I start up my car - and this is on - in the Summer - forget it -

I bought this one once:
It was pretty damned boring to me. The actual London stuff that came before it might be better, who knows. Maybe one day I will take the time to find out, but this one was so boring to me that I just haven't felt compelled to yet.

One more thing about London - back in the day - (this has always stayed with me) the joke on the street was about how London sold so many records - well now - they'd be auditioning for a drummer - or bass player - 100's would show up - month after month, a new audition - the band would innocently say 'buy the record at the stiore - and learn it' Not sure if it's true, but it does have a 'ring' of something sly

Tony was the first drummer in my cousins band VVSI.

The "Russian Winter" scene in "Decline II" where they're trying to burn a Russian flag onstage (but it won't cooperate) is epic.

Yeah! I really dig Beware. It's the only Steel Prophet album that I own nowadays..

Here's the title track from their first album:

I might have to buy that CD - that song ROCKS ! Energy captured ! That's a tune that I'd personally listen to, 100 times, in my car - loud ! They all had to do a few lines and then drink whiskey - in the studio - I always loved that about many metal bands - bash it out - no fanciness -

Ahhh, I remember that album. My old roommate had the cd and I taped a copy of it. Haven't heard that in 15+ years. That only song I remember is 'Russian Winter' from the Decline movie.

This is the only one I have in physical form anymore. I haven't listened to it in years, and don't remember much about it. The only London I ever really sought out and listened to is from the early days when Nigel Benjamin (ex-Mott) was on vocals. Some pretty good stuff there, wish he'd stuck around the scene a little longer.

Hmmm, I think that Beware is the worst of Steel Prophet's discography. Listenable but when compared to the rest it's not even close.
As for London, never heard anything from them before.

Beware was the first S.P. disc I picked up (on a whim from the $5 bin on CDBaby), so maybe that has something to do with it. I dunno, I just liked the grittier sound on that album.

"Beware" isn't bad but it's definitely my least favorite from Steel Prophet. The new one is great.

Neither did I. I was pretty damn sure Nadir D'Priest was busing tables at a Waffle House by now.

I received "Don't Cry Wolf" and the back of the manila shipping envelope was autographed by Nadir D'Priest with a thank you note. I didn't even ask for it, lol. It's a nice gesture and just what I would expect from a hair/glam front man

Yeah, he was on one Steel Prophet album (Beware) from 2004 or so.

If memory serves, he suddenly started going all Social Justice Warrior in certain controversial threads, and ended up banned for general douche-baggery.
