A pipe dream

Hey, since most of us here are collectors i thought i'd bring up a silly little pipe dream I had. Would you guys like to see a company out there to grade music memorabilia, especially vinyl and cds? Something along the lines of sports cards grading services. you know, give out ratings on 1-10 on cds/vinyls condition and validate the authenticity of the album for a fee. I would like to see it out there, but i know it's not very important. any thoughts?

Some Record Collector guides can hel you a little. But for the more underground stuff I think ebay is the only "reliable" source.

Having spent the last 20+ years collecting sportscards, I would say no. I wouldn't mind some type of price guide though so the dishonest people on ebay wouldn't charge exhorbitant prices for some stuff.
