If you don't have any idea what Omen's music is like, then you are missing out. Get all of their material with J.D. Kimball on vocals. Everything else pales in comparison.

Tough one.

The debut album by Metal Church is one of my favorites and I guess if I compared it side-by-side with my favorite Savatage (Sirens/The Dungeons Are Calling) it would win. However, overall I like more Savatage albums so...virtual coin flip..Savatage.

I've been listening to Vicious Rumors on Grooveshark. I'm digging a few of their songs so far but, who am I kidding? The Mike Howe-era albums have been a part of my life since I was a kid and I've been getting into Metal Church's earlier stuff in the last couple of years. They have to be my choice!

I saw the title and thought Iced Earth is my favourite. But then seeing the options, it's got to be the mighty 'Tage. I forgot about them.

Metal Church. To be honest the debut is their only album that I really love, but it's such a killer album that the answer seemed obvious. So many catchy songs and the energy level is through the roof. The Mike Howe stuff is good too and they have some great songs across all of their albums, but man, that first one... We form, TONIGHT! We kill, TONIGHT! headbanger

Savatage certainly have some classic albums to their credit as well so they would be my second choice. Sirens and Hall of the Mountain King in particular are both great. Not a band I listen to too often, but always enjoyable when I do.
