Same'sies here. Turbo is my second favorite JP record after Painkiller. PoE isn't at the top, but I like it a lot. Edit: I accidentally voted for Turbo, as I thought it said "which do you LIKE more"....so the poll is forever incorrect.

| Nostradamus for me.
I think I've only played through in it's entirety once. I start spacing-out during disc 1 and never bother with disc 2. If I took the time, I could probably trim it down to one listenable album.
Turbo isn't great either, but at least I can get through it when I'm in the mood. I have no issue with Point of Entry. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

'Point of Entry' is to me a killer album, 'Desert Plains', 'Heading Out to the Highway' are great tunes. Desert Plains is my all time favourite Judas Priest song. I wouldn't call it my all time favorite but it's near the top. Killer tune !

| Nostradamus by a landslide! It's just too ambitious of a record. It was as if the band was trying to convince us of how good they were and they didn't know when to say when. | |

| I chose Nostradamus. It has some good stuff on it but I like Point Of Entry and Turbo better. | |

| The best of the three is easily Point Of Entry - that I like very much. The worst is Nostradamus - sometimes Turbo is fun to listen too for good old cheese fest nostalgia. | |

| I had to go with Point of Entry because, of the three, it's the least interesting to my ears. Is it a bad album? Not by any stretch. It's just not particularly grabby either.
Nostradamus may have a bit of sprawl, but it's interesting - particularly within the Priest catalog. Turbo is the same, even if it is definitely a sonic time capsule.

| I'm kind of surprised that Demolition wasn't one of the choices in this poll. | |

Yeah good one. Would people really rather listen to Demolition than Nostradamus?

I kinda went with the 3 that people complain about the most. Demolition doesn't seem to get any attention at all.

| The dozen or so people who actually bothered to buy Demolition (a group which, shamefully, includes myself) have done their best over the years to suppress the memory of its existence. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I bought my Demolition copy used. It somehow got stuck in my rotary cd player and while I was trying to free it,it broke. I haven't rushed out to find a replacement yet. | |

| I've only recently gotten to hear the Ripper albums and Demolition definitely seems to be the stronger of the two to my ears. Why all the hate? | |

One word: "Cyberface." ...but seriously, I preferred Jugulator by a large margin. There are a couple of tracks on Demolition that are passable but even those sound like leftovers from the Jug sessions that didn't make the cut. The rest is just... blah. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Same here. Demolition is ok but doesn't even sound one bit like Priest to me (even less so than Nostradamua). I will replace my copy eventually but there's so much more out there I'd rather get first. Plus Demolition is preserved on my ipod making it less of a priority.

Yeah good one. Would people really rather listen to Demolition than Nostradamus? I would. At least Demolition is only one disc of awful rather than two.

| Other than the god awful nu-metal trappings of songs like "Subterfuge" Demolition also had the misfortune of being released 11 months after Halford's Resurrection and being worse than that album in every conceivable way. | |

I can think of one way it's not worse: it's less derivative and more forward-thinking. I like "Resurrection" but it is WAYYYYY overrated.

I would say that Demolition is derivative of what was popular at the time, whereas Resurrection was derivative of Judas Priest. Can you be forward-thinking if you are aping a currently popular genre?

Roy Z was trying to ape what Tipton/Downing were playing in the early 80s (and failing at times) ... I think that's worse. I don't really have a problem with bands trying to go with the times as long as it can yield good songs. I'm not claiming that was successful on every song on "Demolition" though. Judas Priest has always aped other popular bands, including on their debut. But they always put their own spin on it and innovates. I don't think Roy Z was trying to innovate to any considerable degree.

| Nostradamus is the best one of the three. It actually has more than one or two good tracks. There's about 40-50 mins. worth of awesome shit. Point of Entry just isn't that good in comparison. But I voted for Turbo, because Reckless alone isn't enough to save that album. | |
