The Cos made a rare public appearance at a Philly jazz club earlier this week. He sat in with the band and told some stories/jokes.

Apparently there was an 11 year old kid in the audience and Cos asked him, "Do you know who I am?" and the kid said, "Yeah, you used to be a comedian." Laughing very hard

Shortly before all the legal drama exploded, he did a comedy special on HBO (I think), and it was terrible. He was a rambling old man telling go-nowhere stories. I can't imagine his material has gotten any better since his career nose-dived.

Yeah, the last time I saw him on one of the late night talk shows a few years back, (I forget if it was Leno, Letterman, or whoever) he looked and sounded totally out of it. It was like listening to a hobo rambling at passersby in a bus station. I remember thinking that old age (and the loss of his son) had affected him in a big way.

Yup. It was a show back in the 50's or 60's, then they brought it back in the 80's/90's with Cosby. I think the most recent incarnation had Steve Harvey hosting.

EDIT: My bad. Steve Harvey hosted 'Little Big Shots'. Same idea, except the kids do tricks too after they talk to Steve and he mugs for the camera.

Yeah, the wife and I caught part of that when it premiered and it was such a let down. Abe Simpson is/was more coherent.

During the trial there was a woman who told a story about when her and her friend were invited to an "office" he had that had only a couch and a fake telephone in it. He drugged them and as the woman was spaced out she witnessed him going after her friend. The next day he let them out and they left in a cab.
