^^ But do you like Killen enuff to pay a couple hundred bucks for their sacred arcane vinyl, and feel a sense of smug superiority for doing so? Ehehehehe

Stop trying to troll for genre arguments, it's tiresome.

Nickelback is only good for temporary comedy relief, sorry to say...
It was awesome to read that they once shared the stage with Manila Road last April, at least.

Nonsense, you want comedy? Try listening to Creed, one of the biggest jokes of all time.

What's so wrong with liking Nickelback?
I'm surprised that's the band you're bothered I like and not say Limp Bizkit.
And yes, I do kind of like Killen.
It's a cliche and I had an amusing animated .gif to go along with it. The temptation was too great.

I like a lot of different styles of music, but that dance pop shit never did a damn thing for me. Unless annoying me counts. Haha.
Oddly enough, I dated a girl when I was stationed in Arkansas, and she loved this song.
And sure enough, I ended up liking it. SO LAME! Haha.

Eh, they're both on the same page, but I don't think you can get any more ridiculous than Avenged Sevenfold. They make Trivium sound like gods.

Don't see anything wrong with either band, Sevenfold's guitar player is pretty talented.

Sevenfold's last album is awesome. Very very metal. Just listen to hail to the king.
I wish Metallica and maiden can still record such albums.

Talent is irrelevant when you lack musical integrity. Sorry, not impressed when you're forging mediocrity through blatant plagiarism.

Well I for one think they have plenty of "musical integrity" and I fail to see how they are "forging mediocrity" and I do not see any "blatant plagiarism" whatsoever.

Avenged Sevenfold is as original as a mime. Their claim to being a "metal" band only derives from playing piss-poor Metallica riffs. They're the emo version of the Backstreet Boys.
Synyster Gates struggles with changing chords, has a weak rhythm, and spends most of his time doing sweeps. He makes Lil Wayne look like a genius on guitar, of all people to compare him to...
M. Shadows is the worst vocalist I have ever heard. His boy band vocals are truly atrocious to hear, and I can't even see how anyone into modern rock would put Avenged Sevenfold on the top of their list.
The Rev was probably the worst drummer, ever. He had no sense of rhythm or style. His "drumming" was basically trying to -- and failing at -- pulling off the double bass. Some fanboys told me that double bass drumming is a skill that only few drummers possess. No.
Zacky Vengeance is just there to do absolutely nothing. What's the bassist's name? Oh, I totally forgot about him -- you can't even hear his tracks.

Nonsense, Shadows is a damn good vocalist(you don't know what a bad singer is until you've heard Scott Staap from Creed), Rev is a damn good double bass drummer and Gates is a superb guitarist.

M. Shadows is whiny and can't even pull off a half-decent scream to save his behind. His "tone" is the equivalent to a horse taking a shit in front of a microphone.
The American Creed may suck, but they at least don't try to rip off their influences.

...but Overkill have made their feelings quite public on the subject... witness the t-shirt they were selling several tours back (with an Avenged Sevenfold shirt next to it for comparison's sake)

Could be worse, the band Accuser BLATANTLY ripped off the Marvel comics character Ultron for their first 3-4 album covers:
