Total Motorhead worship, but I love it!! The one before that, Kamikaze, is good too. I just got a copy not that long ago, but it's just as good as Knuckle Duster.

Nice. Will look out for it. Never heard of them before, but it just looked great, especially for $3.99. =)

Someone else mentioned them around here. Either in the retro thread or maybe the new wave of traditional metal. Somewhere. I liked it immediately and made a purchase. Kamikaze might be a little harder to find at a decent price (I got lucky on ebay), but if you like Knuckle Duster, it's more of the same.
I believe there is a debut ep out too, however I think the 3 or 4 songs on it made it to the full album.
EDIT: Never mind. They have their own thread. http://www.heartofmetal.net/t20703-asomvel-knuckle-duster?highlight=asomvel Thanks Gilbert.

Thrift store pickups:
Rush - Test For Echo Various - Forrest Gump: The Soundtrack (2CD)
...plus an oddball: a 5 song EP by somebody called "Sin City Rebels," with no booklet or cover. They were apparently a Jersey based glam/sleaze act, and they released this in 1992. Anyone here familiar with it? I don't even see it listed in RateYourMusic.

Man, haven't though of this band in years. I believe I had this CD when it came out but I know I had the 3-song demo tape, and I saw them play at least once around that time.
I really don't listen to much that would fall into the metalcore genre any more, not even the more respectable early stuff, before stuff got weird. But these dudes were one of my favorites of that group, along with the general Converge (who probably hated being called metalcore, but whatever, same with Cave In), Scarlet, Undying and such.
I also had the Darkest Hour demo, which I kinda wish I still had. Sounded a lot closer to hardcore than where they went over the years after.

I'd never heard of them until the other day. Looks like the guitarist is wearing an XXL shirt, which was band from my hometown. One of my favorites. So I figured I'd give it a god. Cheap money, just $3.99. I dig it, though. Reminds me of stuff like Bloodlet and Deadguy.

I dig it. Really good stuff. Some great Pantera-type grooves (not surprising considering the guitars plays a Dean and is wearing a Pantera shirt in that second clip).
If anyone is interested...
