He never said that Criss wasn't asked to audition though. So the way Jon phrased that makes more sense now.
Dave did have glowing things to say about him though.
And this about Dio made me chuckle. That's the DT Jesus character we know from the Streets album all right.

| JOP shows were intimate intense, and invigorating. I felt like it was in my family room on the sofa with a cold one, laughing and joking before getting slammed into the wall behind me, beside me, and when the dust cleared... I was politely asking for more.
Awesome memories, well worth the miles traveled to experience it. _________________

| JOP was a great band. RIP, Matt Laporte.
Remember when Kong used to post here? Wonder what he's up to.

Awesome memories, well worth the miles traveled to experience it. You must mean the Oliva solo tour? I've seen JOP and it was pretty wild. Wouldn't call it "intimate". Matt LaPorte was a great talent and very underrated.

Matt LaPorte was a great talent and very underrated. Intimate is subjective and not remotely all inclusive, I suppose? My experience at Prog Power in 2014 for example, was intimate in the aspect of it being used as an adjective, a verb, and a noun. A trifecta of sorts. _________________
