Overdose acually have 3 distinct periods: first : "happy" power metal based on major scale progressions , second speed thrash in the vein of Megadeth and Third: Groove Thrash Metal. I like all 3 but I don´t consider them "legend" but they deserve more then they got.

Of the older era I would say Sepultura. Up until Arise then I lost interest. Of the newer era I would say Violator

Oh and Krisiun comes in pretty close to the top of that list as well.

Chakal is a band I ... well I have everything by them but haven´t still listened to much, but the old material seem to be great stuff. I´d reccomend to anyone into "Dark" Thrash Metal.
