testament help

I got into testament after buying a very best of in italy, summer of 2006.

Then I got the gathering, the new order, low and dark roots of the earth.

Any other recommendations?

Some here will disagree, but Practice What You Preach.

"The Legacy" is their best album.

Great album, that's what I was going to say as well.

I'd also really recommend The Gathering. Definitely one of their best, stormingly heavy throughout.

Get you hands on the Legacy demo.

Will go for the gathering.

The Legacy and Practice are both great. The only Testament I don't really like is Demonic due to the vocals.

I probably like the New Order and Practise What You Preach best. Two awesome albums. The Legacy is raw brilliance as well. Formation of Damnation is a good one, too.

If you like Skolnick, you have to get Souls of Black and the Ritual too. The latter sounds more like Metallica than Testament, but it's not bad.

Now I think I will go for the entire catalogue.

All Testament is good except for Demonic. That's one I can't get into.

I love half of SoB and think The Ritual is incredible. It's different, little more melodic but a great album.

You can't go wrong with any Testament really.Practice,The New Order,and The Gathering are my faves.

Agreed. I was blown away the first time I heard it.

If you pick up "The Legacy," you should be set. Might want to check out "The Formation of Damnation" too. A lot of great, catchy tunes on that one.

I say get "The Legacy" and the "Live in Eindhoven"

All of them are worth owning.
