TORTURE SQUAD - Esquadrao de Tortura
How is this? I love Torture Squad. I reviewed Pandemonium on my YouTube account last year. One of the best metal albums of the 21st century, easily.
Only spun it twice but it`s definitely a great album. Sounds a bit different with a new vocalist, bu it still sounds like Torture Squad :-).. My favorite by them is Hellbound, too early to say how i will rank the new one, need to listen to it more. You put me on to this great band in a swap comp many yers ago btw....

Yeah, thanks for pointing out that it was available on CD. Or CDR. Meh. It was cheap, so that's fine. Nothing worse than paying upwards of $20 and receiving a goddamn CDR.
It's also pretty difficult to get too angry with a bunch of Slovenian schoolgirls
So what's the verdict (musicwise) here?

It's quite good, actually. The singer isn't amazing or anything, but I predict she'll get better. For free download (or whatever you want to pay) or about $7 for the CD, it's well worth it.

Agreed, I like that they are keeping the doom in there when it would be easier to go down the more current occult rock path. It's good enough to make me want to keep tabs on them. What's your opinion?

Found a cool little place in Pasadena called Battery Books that had a sign out front about used cds. Never miss a chance to hit those places.
For three bucks a disc
Powerwolf - Preachers Of The Night 2 disc book edition Warbringer IV cd/dvd SkeletonWitch - Serpent Unleashed (in actual case and not those crappy cardboard things Prosthetic usually uses) Black Star Riders - All Hell Breaks Loose cd/dvd Soulfly - Savages +2 DevilDriver - Winter Kills 2 disc book The Cult - Electric Peace Pelican - Forever Becoming Gwar - Battle Maximus Winds Of Plague - Resistance (this was the surprise of the finds - I really dug this record. It was a total blind buy but I'll be searching out more of their stuff.)

Some good stuff there for $3 bucks a pop. I'm curious about that Cult album. Been holding off on getting a copy until I find it cheap enough. Is it any good?

Haven't given it a listen yet. To be honest having lived with Electric all these years I'm not sure how I'll feel about the earlier version. A lot of times those just don't sound right to me if I'm very familiar with the released version. Apparently it's more Love album sounding (which I'm a big fan of) so we shall see. I really only bought it since it was so cheap. I actually was holding out hope to someday find the Rare Cult box for a decent price. Figured this would tide me over till then.
My Little Funhouse was a great band. Crazy that they only did one album.
