7 Years and counting...

2014 will be my 7th year coming to Heart of Metal. I do not know a lot of people here personally, but there is no other music forum that comes close to the level of respectfulness and class, as we have here at HoM!!!

Have we been around for more than 7 years?! Man, I feel old.

Woo! It has been a while, hasn't it? Time flies...

 

I think its been about 7 years coming to this board (1/31/07) but id go to the Ultimatum board when it was on ezboards.

5 1/2 years for me, time sure does fly when you get old.

I joined on 03/20/2007. I think it's the best heavy metal message board in existence. The others I used to frequent have either died off or are loaded with trolls. This place seems much more mature and respectful. Hailz!

I don't post here as much anymore as I do on some other forums, but I've been here a long time. I remember the old ezboard days.

I had to look it up.  Next month I'll have been here 6 years.   6 years????  Sure doesn't seem that long ago...

Then again, next month will also mark the 9th year I've lived in this house, meaning I've lived here longer than the original owner.  Time sure does fly...

Wow, it's been about 7 years for me too (I was on the old board briefly). And this is the only board I do any posting on too.

wow. I am now old....

It's almost been 3 years for me now. Doesn't feel like it at all.

This is only my tenth month here, but I love it.

I think I joined the old board just before the switch. Then I had to register again on this one.

Time does fly...

It's interesting to view the member list in order according to when everyone signed up for the new board. I was the 12th person to register here at the new board (at least who is still around with the same username). A lot of old names in that list that you never see anymore.

I'm starting my second year here in a couple months. Reason I started coming here was because my, what, 400 friends on Facebook don't like rock and metal--in fact most of them enjoy shit--and of course I found HOM through Scott's site. Plus I got sick of posting a metal song and getting a PM from one of the many fundies questioning the moral ethics of my taste in the devil's music. In short, HOM>>>Facebook.

Sounds like you desperately need a new circle of friends!
