I always wanted to go to L.A. and do a pub/titty crawl of all the strip joints mentioned in Motley Crue's 'Girls, Girls, Girls'.

- For the record I was perfectly fine with the Metallica hair cuts. Never understood what the fuss was.
The problem as I saw it wasn't the actual haircuts per say, it was the band hiring "stylists" to tell them what their new look was supposed to be. Some sissy stylist telling James "F**king" Hetfield what to wear and how to comb his hair? Please.
The haircuts also coinsided with the shift in musical direction along with touring with bands like Linkin Park and the Deftones. It was as if they were trying to distance themselves from the very world of metal that spawned them.
For allot of fans, it was the band turning their back on them. Some folks still hold a grudge, some have forgiven them and moved on. I'm probably somewhere in the middle.
