| Except for Dream Theater changing from Dominici to LaBrie or Iron Maiden changing from DiAnno to Dickinson, most people tend to be turned off by bands switching volcalists. Whether I'ts Van Halen, Black Sabbath, later Maiden, Judas Priest, or recently Iced Earth longtime fans turn away from those bands. Is there any other bands except the first two I mentioned in which people liked the cange in vocalists? I for one have never been too picky on that as long as the music is still good. | |

| I think Michael Kiske replacing Kai Hansen and Andi Deris replacing Michael Kiske were all very good changes for Helloween. |

| the Dio-era Sabbath material is highly regarded. also, Van Halen was very successful with Hagar. _________________ | |

That is true but when Ozzy left Sabbath and when Hagar took the vocal spot in Van Halen, a lot of longtime fans hated the changes and stopped listening to them (remember the term Van Hagar?). By the way, I prefer Dio over Ozzy and I also was a big fan of Hagar era Van Halen.

The Andi Deris era is my favorite Helloween stuff! Although I've never heard him sing any of the old Keepers-era stuff (I've never seen Helloween live, though I would love to!) but except for KEEPER PART I, I was never really big on the Kiske era. Of course, they whole band, Kiske included, sounded phenomenal on Keeper Part I, but things started to get a little weird on Part II, it got really silly by PINK BUBBLES and when CHAMELEON came out I just wanted Kiske gone! I know he can't be totally blamed for the quality (or lack thereof) of those last couple of records but he certainly didn't help things. I also find it funny how nowadays whenever Kiske releases new solo stuff he's like "It's NOT metal! I hate metal!" but he expects his old fans to lap it up anyway. Then when it doesn't sell he goes on the Internet and rants about how metal fans are all stupid because they don't understand him.

| Although no they haven't been around very long, DiMeo was a fitting replacement for Lande and for those who know them, I believe that Borknagar was improved greatly with the switch to Vintersorg. | |

| A more obscure one. When the christian band Saint regrouped after a lengthy abscence, they did not have fan favorite Josh Kramer behind the mic. I think the new guy was named Lamberson. The EP Perfect Life came out and was terrible, and not well received. Luckily they were later rejoined with Josh Kramer to produce the awesome discs In The Battle and The Mark. |

I assume you are talking about Masterplan? Haven't heard them with DiMeo yet. But he was awesome while he was in Riot. |

When I saw them, Deris was perfect on the older stuff, even going back to Walls of Jericho. He did all eras flawlessly.

| When ult replaced Robert Gutierrez as vocalist in Ultimatum's infancy may be seen as a wise choice. |
