But I do consider King's X to be a metal band. At least hard rock, which IMHO falls under the 'metallic' umbrella. Just me though ... but I know I'm not alone.

Meh...I've never, ever considered KING'S X "Metal"...they've always been a Rock/Hard Rock band to me...and to me there's a difference between Hard Rock and Metal...
