The Gutfeld Monologues

I don't read anywhere near as many books as I did in my youth but when I saw that Greg Gutfeld had compiled all his monlogues from The Five into a book (complete with retrospective comments) I had to pick it up. He's a conservative libertarian (and cynic) like me and I find I agree with probably 95% of his opinions. Plus I think he's hilarious.

My brother met Greg Gutfeld at a bookstore signing a couple of months ago and got an autographed copy of that book. He was showing it off to me all proud the last time I saw him, but I don't watch Fox News so I had no idea who the guy was, haha.
(shrugs)

On topic: I'm currently about half way thru Heavy Duty: Days and Nights In Judas Priest by KK Downing.

Just started reading, The Last Wish: Introducing the Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski. Not bad so far, it's a series of short stories written for some magazine gathered together in book form. I guess there are two of these, then some regular novels in a series I'll probably read next. Not really a fan of short stories but I'm glad I started from the beginning.

...I've had the book for almost a year, have started it several times, but then it gets buried in the junk on my night stand and I forget all about it, haha. I've gotten farther into it this time than I have in all past attempts though so I think I may finally read it all the way thru!

I received this book for my birthday this year. I started it a couple weeks ago.

Slayer 66 2/3: The Jeff & Dave Years. Started this one a couple years ago, but got sidetracked with other books. Finally picked it back up and am almost done with it. I really liked it, but if course I just noticed there is a newer version of it out, updated with better proof reading. The proof reading needed to be done, cause there are a lot of mistakes in my version, but still a good read.

The last thing I read for fun all the way through was Dostoevsky's Notes from Underground. A really intriguing little novella with an interesting narrative perspective... makes ya feel kinda crazed.

Right now I'm reading through Huxley's The Perennial Philosophy and Joseph Campbell's Hero With A Thousand Faces. Both are really mind-bending stuff.
