What book are you currently reading?

On to the next Xanth novel:

I'm in the process of reading Wiseguy for the first time. IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!! If you have seen the movie Goodfellas, you gotta read this book. It's the book that Goodfellas was made after. It is so much better than the already incredible movie. If you have seen the movie before reading the book, it doesn't ruin anything. If anything, it makes it better. As I'm reading along, I'm picturing everything as if it were the actors in the movie taking out the actions and such. If you're into mobsters and organized crime, READ IT! It's so brutal.

Been reading Superman comics from #1. Into the 50's now.

Excellent and eerily relatable to for me.

Just finished two books 'Hunt for Eicchman', an incredible book

'The Rolling Stones: The Last Tour- A very short, photo type book, written in 1982, where the author spectulates this will be their final tour, because after all the Stones at this point are 20 years into their recording/performing career and both Jagger and Richards will be hitting 40!!

Currently reading The Doors: Unhinged by John Densmore- The Doors drummer tells the story of having to sue both Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, when the band went out as The Doors of the 21st Century. Jim Morrison's estate (his parents (now deceased) and siblings, Pam's mother) joined in on the lawsuit. Very cool little scene when Densmore first meets Jim's father.

Nearly done with the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, about 20 pages left. And couldn't resist putting this up:

The Guns At Last Light - Rick Atkinson

This is volume 3 of the Liberation Trilogy - the history of the European Theater (Western Front) in WWII. I just finished volume 2 which was quite a slog at times - much like the Italian campaign it chronicled. Volume 3 is proving to be the much easier/swifter read, but that's quite common with WWII history. Let's face it, it's easy to create drama when you are writing about D-Day, Operation Cobra, The Battle of the Bulge, Crossing The Rhine, etc...

Peter Clines-EXpatriot, right on the tails of his first EXheroes.

Good stuff for the zombie fans in the audience, these take a different spin in the what if we had "superheroes" and zombies???

Really looking forward to reading book 3 EXcommunication and the unrelated 14.
