| Granted I get a little behind with all the new releases I am surprised I missed this one as I like Krokus! I just realized they put a new album out! Picked up a copy at Amazon for $9.99. I have been playing the heck out of this and really enjoying it! Anyone else pick it up? Thoughts? | |

| I enjoy it but not as much as the last one.
I would really like to catch them live though, most older bands seem to be really tight, yet loose onstage nowadays. _________________

| I've never liked "Hoodoo". I thought it to be too polished, unlike their older releases. In Swiss German, Chris von Rohr always demands for "Meh Dräck". It's his most known slogan. It means "more dirt". And that's exactly what "Hoodoo" is lacking.
On the other side, there is Dirty Dynamite. It's an improvement over "Hoodoo". It has some resemblance with it, including some lines that sound exactly the same, but it sounds like they took their last record, thought about its weaknesses and took this as a basis for Dirty Dynamite. It's still not as good as Headhunter or One Vice, it's far too slow to compete with them, but it's a progress. Additionally, their is the third guitarist, who's been intergrated very well. Their guitar play is much more varied now.
Haha, maybe it's just because I prefer their heavier play over the newer, bluesy stuff. But it's how I perceive it.
I wonder how the new songs fit in their live setting. I'm excited to see them on 2nd of May.

| I like this album. I got it on release day. I guess from what I read this is their last album. | |

| I have heard this album on Spotify - have not yet picked up it as a few other 2013 releases have taken priority so far. I do plan to pick this up soon though.
My impression of it - well it sounds like classic early-mid 80s (and pre-Change of Address) Krokus. If anything, I found Dirty Dynamite to be a very safe album - the band does not step outside their comfort zone much. Whereas I thought Hoodoo seems just ever so slightly more adventurous.
Also, for a 61 year old Marc Storace sounds awesome. Not a day over 20-something of his 80s counterpart.

| This didn't really grab me at first. But I'm starting to strongly come around on it. Hoodoo actually was the same way initially. Have the feeling over time I'll become more into it. | |

Too bluesy, no reall hard rocking songs (at least Hoodoo had a few). Their best remains Headhunter for me, but Hoodoo comes second.

| Its great to see Bon Scott is still alive. Seriously though its a damn good record. I always had a soft spot for Krokus. Their early trippy 70's stuff was great as well. | |

| I bought Dirty Dynamite as soon as it was released, but I've only listened to it once, so it obviously didn't grab me right out of the jewel box, but I'll give it another spin.
I do think Hellraiser is a really good album.

| Hellraiser, Hoodoo and now Dirty Dynamite...all great. Dirty Dynamite has sucky cover art, but the actual music is top notch...absolutely love the album from start to finish. _________________ http://www.steinhausmastering.com

| I've seen them live yesterday. Great show. They played many songs from the new album. And my thoughts on Dirty Dinamite got confirmed - the songs just rock, especially in comparison with the ones from Hoodoo (which I've seen on shows two years ago). They fit well with the old stuff.
Also, Krokus did play none but one song from Hoodoo. This didn't surprise me, as these song just didn't "work" in a live setting. And, funnily, the one song they played was Hoodoo Woman - which is the worst song they've ever done, imo. I still can't understand why the band likes it so much (Von Rohr once maintained it was the best of their songs and he was really proud of it).

| I downloaded track one to give it a listen. Love it but the volume is low and the vocals seem a bit buried. Not quite as out front as I would like. Going to go ahead and "complete my album" this weekend. The iTunes version is 7.99 and comes with a digital booklet. I don't mind the cover art at all. Kinda like the dog. | |

| On finally "completed album" on iTunes. I like this a lot. I can do without The Beatles cover but the rest is very good. My first exposure to Krokus was "Headhunter". If you're a fan of that style then this may not be for you. This is straight ahead 70's Classic Rock sounding. I'll need to go back now and check out Hoodoo. The last release I picked up was "Extended Versions" for $1.44 at FYE. Great find for less than 2 bucks and they sound awesome live but there are some key tracks missing from that disc.
Anyway, glad I picked up Dirty Dynamite.
