Doesn't have to be specifically obscure, or whatever, but I'm sure many of our all-time favorite lists would included many by Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, Exodus and Testament.
So I'm not looking for bands of that calibert. It can still be bands that were considered B- or C-level or whatever. Vio-lence or Laaz Rockit, bands like that. Or even more obscure.

Fantastic album. Top notch production as well, although you can't tell from the Youtube clip.

Anything from Wargasm, but their first "Why Play Around" is probably my favorite.

Wargasm were definitely awesome. I wish that first CD was easier to come by.
I will definitely check out Divine Decay. A quick glance at classicthrash.com tells me that album is from 2001. That's a pretty odd year for a thrash record to come out, so I am intrigued.

I feel like the newer Tankard records get pretty overlooked as "more of the same" or this and that, in favor of retro-thrash, when really they have some of the best songwriting of the Tankard catalog..

I'm not going particularly obscure with this but these bands should have been bigger, starting with the BEST thrash band from NYC (cue angry Overkill and Anthrax fans)
The best thrash band from Canada (You just can't count Voivod they were always beyond thrash)
And two massively underated German bands

I have to go to work now, but I'll definitely toss a few out there when I get home.

These may not be so obscure to some, but they're more obscure than others:
(I saw these guys open for Crimson Glory in New York City back in the day. I think I was the only person in the crowd who had a clue who they were.)

Some great stuff posted so far.
Kmorg turned me onto Witchhammer and Equionox many. many years ago. Both are great IMO.
Never heard of Silence of Decades, but it sounds good from that one clip. Might have to check them out some more.

The band name is Divine Decay. I swear I thought I found that album through your site like 10 years ago, Scott. I suppose not.

Tell Mortan I said hi.
Seriously tho, good luck. If you happen to find more than one copy of their Face of Despair disc, keep one for yourself and send the other one my way.

The best English thrash band! (Sorry Onslaught) Again not at all obscure but underated, they were a pretty local band for me in a scene that contained lots of bad bands.
