Dallas, for your tastes I would highly recommend getting Sin Decade next.

I liked their last one Pandemonium but it wasn't a patch on Red, Hot and Heavy or my personal favourite Future World. That one is a metal classic most definitely.

Doubt I will be getting much Pretty Maids. Has anyone seen the going prices on Amazon? I'll need lots of luck or a re-issue to get most of them. The only ones I can afford that I don't have are Jump The Gun and Red, Hot, & Heavy.

Let me take a moment to say that I'm completely bewildered by what the 'Red Hot & Heavy' cover is supposed to be. A woman with hairy boobs bursting out of some concrete to pull something out of a hell-box (why would you do that?) with a chain. What?

Thanks to Spectrefate and finding a used copy of Sin-Decade for $12 (the next price up was $24), I will have the full Pretty Maids discography (minus any EPs and the last live album) within a week.

Nice. Having a job thingy does have it's perks.

I only have one of my recent PM haul left and every single one up til now have been solid (all killer, no filler). Pretty Maids may have to be put in my top 20 bands list.

That name has killed them imo. I bet a lot of people would be surprised at what they sound like.

New one sounds great. Got it two days ago and I can say that I think it is as good as their last one "Pandemonium", but yet not sounding too much like it. Of course it still has the Pretty Maids sound down pat.
The heavier/harder songs are much more 'angry' sounding. And I must have become a fanboy over the years as I really do not mind the ballads on this one, as some are just pure pop.

I agree with you, this is killer, melodic metal with and edge.

I always describe them to people as Europe mixed with Helloween...but better than both bands.

Good description but I like Helloween better when they are on like with Gambling. But these last two PM albums have been stellar.

Got the new one two days ago and I absolutely concur with everyone's praise here. For me, it was instantly 'on par' with Pandemonium, however, I have a very good feeling that over time, it will surpass Pandemonium.

With 9 months left in the year....I'm almost 100% sure this will be my number 1 album for 2013 \m/

The new one is as good as anything else they have released. What a constant band!

It's strange with Pretty Maids. Every time they release a new one people say it's their most heavy effort so far. But if you go back, all their releases are pretty heavy!

My spending freeze is almost up. Though I can't go hog wild with my spending (that would defeat the purpose of the freeze), I will order this.
