- Nebula - The Peel Sessions
Worth the purchase? That's the only Nebula I don't have. I have two of those Peel sessions EP's, one is from the Cure and the other is Prong, it seemed John Peel had a huge range of music he was interested in, is this one also an EP or is it a full length disc? It's a full album. From what I can gather, there is nothing exclusive on here. All the songs have been previously released. It's just the band playing together live in a studio. Some of the songs might be a little longer with extended jamming.
I still haven't listened to it. I've been stuck on that Sound City soundtrack all day.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001H7NE44/ref=dm_dp_cdp?ie=UTF8&s=music I've spun the Nebula album through a few times yesterday and I'd put it in the "good, but not essential" column. Since it was the band recording live, I thought it might have more improvised jamming or changing-up of the songs. From what I can tell, they stick pretty true to the studio versions. The band is live together in a radio studio without an audience, so there is no fan interaction or live crowd noise. It's pretty sterile. You wouldn't know that it's a live recording necessarily. If you're a Nebula completist and must have everything, it's a fine recording. But nothing essential in my opinion. If you can find it cheap, pick it up. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Still haven't received the Argetina SN, but I am not exepecting to to be legit.

If you don't mind me asking, what town do you live in? I want to check it out on Google Images to enjoy the desolation.

Definitely understand buying those original Priest CDs again as the 2001 remasters are just absolutely horrid. Judas Priest has always felt like an "LP band" to me, that was the format I fell in love with their music on. I've still never heard a CD copy of British Steel sound anywhere near as good as the LP I used to have. The one exception is the Steve Hoffman remaster of Hell Bent For Leather which is amazing (though sadly out of print). |

My sister-in-law lives in Helena. What's that, about 100 miles as the crow flies??? probably more by car. She used to live in Huntley... Talk about nowhere.....................

| This is pretty cool. Tuesday night I ordered the digital download of Dropkick Murphys new "Signed and Sealed In Blood" album from Amazon for 6.99. Then yesterday I logged in to Amazon and found out the download was now 5.99 so I emailed Amazon complaining about the price reduction. Today I received an email from Amazon customer service apologizing and not only refunding my 6.99 but also issuing an additional 1.99 credit toward another download purchase. That's what I call customer service. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
