Except for MC's choice, I love every one of the above. But I gotta go with 007 - David Wayne will always be top three vox for me, which gives Reverend the edge.

I like EPs a lot too. They give the band room to have fun.
However, I am hard pressed to choose a favorite, for some reason.
I'm the Man is a definite contender.

That was my favorite at one time.....untill Queensryhce came out.
Maiden Japan is still one of my very favorites, I'd definitely rank it over Queensryche.
I'd also give a shout out to Slayer's "Haunting The Chapel" which blew my young mind when I first heard it in 1984.

Not my favorite, but I figured it should be mentioned... Savatage's Dungeons are Calling.

Haunting the Chapel and Queensryche came to mind for me, but my favorite has to be Sodom's In the Sign of Evil.

I didn't forget Haunting The Chapel or even Live Undead
They were once favorites...but not this day.
Today my favorite is gonna be "B-sides Ourselves" by Skid Row

Of EP's I currently own I'd pick Queensryche or Haunting the Chapel
However I just got a copy of the Reverend EP on ebay, when I finally give it a good listen I can easily see that being my favorite based on the song I have listened to and how much of a David Wayne fan I am

Somewhat related: Do you guys like split records? I find that most times, I only get into one of the bands involved. There have been some great split records, but they seem to be few and far between.

The only splits that I have heard and spun regularly were the ones that were put out by Epitaph and had 2 bands covering each others songs. The NOFX/Rancid one was fantastic. Hearing Rancid utterly DESTROY NOFX with their musical ability was definitely a highlight for me.

While I'll assume they must have existed, I don't recall ever seeing "split records" on cd. I only remember seeing them on vinyl which I generally have no interest. The stuff I'd see would usually end up on comp albums or as bonus tracks if you're patient.

Yeah, I guess they are mostly on vinyl, though I have seen a few splits on CD. Like the Metal Witch/Vindicator split, which is quite good. That might have been a vinyl release first, though, maybe?

The first split CD I ever bought was the Kyuss/Queens Of The Stone Age split on Man's Ruin in the late 90s. A great disc featuring the last few Kyuss recordings and the first QOTSA demos prior to their debut coming out.

These two!
Another very awesome EP is Unbidden - Slaughtering the Vile, which at least the band considers an EP. It is seven tracks and a little over 37 minutes long, which should be a full length (after all, Megadeth - Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? has eight songs and is a little over 36 minutes; it is considered a full length), but the band calls it an EP, so I'll mention it.

My favorite split by a long shot. The Metal Witch side is so killer. I wish they would've put out a full release after. Funny thing was I bought it for the Vindicator. Which also was real good too.
This thread got me thinking of the various EPs I have. Today I broke out both Metallica's Creeping Death/JUmp In The Fire and The Accused's Straight Razor

Alot of the new thrash bands love doing splits. Like Toxic Holocaust, Cross Examination, Municipal Waste, etc. Personally, I think they are pretty cool - especially when the team-up makes sense [one exception being The S.O.D./Yellow Machinegun - Seasoning the Obese. Two bands that I love].
