| Iommi should always be at the top of the list. Nobody can deny his riffs and I think his solos are underrated.

| This list is "top" metal guitarists and by looking at it I'm guessing it is popularity/influence according to current times. It's all over the place and I can't seem to make sense of it. I first thought that Tipton/Downing were left off because they haven't really had a major impact for the last 10 years. This kind of falls apart with Rhoads and Abbott being on the list. Not sure how this list came about. I won't really kick anyone off, but I'd add and reorder it. This is indeed a strange list for metal. | |
