"Trick r Treat" (2009)
Way-cool "Creepshow" style horror anthology flick centered on a single small town and their big Halloween party; the neatly- interlocking stories include werewolves, a serial killing school principal, and kids who discover the tragic truth behind a local urban legend. Stylish, atmospheric, and grimly funny.
A great way to kick off your Halloween season!

Awesome as always. Milla kicking zombie ass like only she can (with a few more ass kicking hotties thrown in-like the Asian one on the movie poster). This one was closer to a video game movie than any since the first one. You know what your getting into with these movies and IMO it didn't dissapoint. Depending on the success of this one, there will be one more to finally close the franchise.

"Shaun of the Dead" (20004)
When London is overrun by zombies, two slacker roommates must save their nearest and dearest in this horror/comedy hit that never gets old. Action, gore and laughs galore!

I've been watching Source Code during my workout the past two days and 2/3 of the way through it, I'm loving it. I've come to the conclusion that I like Duncan Jones' work (this one and "Moon").

Yeah, he has the good sense to focus on character unlike 90% of the filmmakers today who spend all their time on plot and special effects and ignore the characterizations.
His next film is a biopic on the real life of Ian Fleming.
Finished "Source Code". I thought the ending seemed "tacked on". The movie should have stopped with the freeze frame.
That would have left a plot thread dangling with the text message he sent earlier in the film. I think the ending worked fine, it makes sense from an alternate universe perspective.

I don't think so. The text would have gone into the same "black hole" that his phone call to Goodwyn did. I guess I just don't like Disney-like happy endings. Stopping the film where I wanted it to would have satisfied both those who like happy endings and people like me who prefer more realistic endings.
Regardless, it was still a great watch. Although I solved the "whodunit" part early on.
