| Think dude has been dippin into boxes of wine way too much (wine in a box....sounds classy)
Gives me an image of some old bald wino passed out in an alleyway of Seatle wearing an "American Soldier" tour shirt with barf covering 1/2 half of it and open boxes on one side of him and broken bottles of Insania on the other. The last half drunk bottle between his legs sticking up like a phallic and somebody had left a piece of cardboard with "F.U" wrote in black marks-o-lot. _________________

No joke! He wrote LYRICS and some melodies, that's it. According to the rest of the band (court docs, interviews), DeGarmo came up with most of the vocal melodies (with help from Tate) which is easy to believe - just listen to the vocal melodies from any post-DeGarmo album.
Tate's been spouting that 81% stuff since he was fired.. along with "I was the creative force behind the band" crap. Please, once Chris left and he shut down the rest of the guys, the "creative force" began pilfering Jason Slater's leftover demo archives to make Queensryche albums. http://www.jason-slater.com/?page_id=73 "Not Long," an old Snake River Conspiracy demo, became "The Voice." "Art of Whore," another Snake River Conspiracy demo, became "Retail Therapy." Songs written for an alt-rock band with a female vocalist became Queensryche songs when Geoff wrote 81% of their catalog? Suuuuure. The demo "Serve," originally penned for another Slater project, became "Dare," so he's still raiding the Slater vault. And there are no doubt plenty more. Did Tate also write these songs?

They're completely different songs.

| Lyrics, melodies and creative direction IS a part of songwriting...but I do agree that Tate is overstating.
What he should be saying is "My name is on 81% of Queensryche writing credits because I was all up in there helping write the songs"... _________________ FINAL SIGN

| Geoff defends the "FU"... - Quote :
- He tells Jam: “It’s an abbreviation of the album title. It’s a metal thing. I’ve seen tens of thousands of fists punching the air at Queensryche shows. There is nothing out of the ordinary about it. I get criticised because I’m not metal enough – now I do an obvious metal album cover and I get criticised for that!”
Sure. Ok. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I had a dream last night that I was at a county fair and the headlining musical act was Geoff's QR.
On the video screens they showed the band backstage preparing for the show. For some reason they were all wearing white face paint with "Ball Masques" over them. They were sitting indian style on the floor in a big circle surrounding a fire pit and passing around a box of wine. Geoff was gesturing like a tribal leader. I couldn't hear what they were saying because only the video was being shown while the opening act played on the stage...
...which is the strangest part of the dream because the opening act was a Sammy Hagar impersonator who for some reason was doing a cover of Golden Earring's Twilight Zone.
Whatever I ate for dinner last night was a bad idea....

| Quick question for anyone who may have purchased "Frequency Unknown" and then taken Cleopatra Records up on that "free remixed CD" offer...
When you e-mailed them your receipt/proof of purchase for the CD, did you get an e-mail back from them showing that your message was received? Cuz I didn't. I was expecting to at least get an automated response ("Thank you for your message") kinda thing, but...nope.
Fabulous customer service, I must say.
I'm just curious, cuz my friend asked me "Hey did you get your remix CD yet?" and I was like "Ummm...no." I had totally forgotten that I'd even contacted them about it. Haha. It's been about a week since I e-mailed them. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Cleopatra Records -> If I call 'em and they haven't sent my CD yet, I'll tell 'em "my friend Shawn" will be coming by to pick one up on my behalf. I think I just need to be more patient. I HATE waiting for stuff to come in the mail, I'm like Bart Simpson... "Lady, where's my spy camera? Where's my spy camera? WHERE IS MY SPY CAMERA?" Years ago when I was doing a lot of CD trading through the mail, I used to drive my wife nuts...if I was waiting for something to come in the mail, I'd call her from work "Did I get any mail today? Did I get any mail today?" and if the answer was "no," I'd be all bummed out for the rest of the day. After a while she stopped taking my calls _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
