Oh, and this is just effin' priceless. Someone posted it on the ToddRyche FB page today. Notice any similarities between these two CD covers? One is a compilation of Spanish music that someone found at Target. The other is... well, you know.
Looks like the same clip-art "fist" in both pix, just reversed.

I wish that my dumb biker/drummer butt could do fancy stuff with photoshop
My idea would be to conjure up a photo promoting the upcoming Tate fronted QR tour with a quip "sponsered by Prep H and some hearing aid battery company" and a punch line along the way of "if you use our battery then you'll need the creme as well"

Nah, that's different. But this is a very common album cover design.

At least he didn't use his live photos from the Queensryche Cabaret fiasco:

I'm not sure how we're supposed to respect the other guys since they went along with the cabaret idea. Are they lemmings or what?

At your job, do you do everything the boss asks or just do just pick and choose what you deem is worth your time?

Exactly. These guys are professional musicians. It's not something they do on the weekends; it's their full-time job, how they get paid.
And anyone who says they wouldn't do what those guys did is a liar.

So we're admitting now that Geoff was their boss? Did he hire them or did they hire him?

Wrong. A lot of guys would rather fire their singer than perform a cabaret tour.
It took these guys WAY too long to fire their singer.

Yes, it took them way too long to fire him.
BUT
As Spec stated, it's business. Once you're at Ryche's level, it's no longer solely about art and music, but about maintaining steady income and growing your business. They were probably gunshy about firing him for a long time based on the fact that his vocals really are legendary AND they know that, once the "face" is changed, their is a high probability of decreased income. I'm sure they planned, talked, plotted, etc for a long time before making any moves.

And the fist pic is a common stock photo image. Any pro could find that fist photo in all of about 3 seconds, then do some photoshopping manipulation. I do it all the time.

Also, they've been playing with the guy for 30-odd years. Even without the business side of it, a decision to end a relationship that's lasted so long isn't one that's going to be taken lightly.

Cleopatra Records finally released a sneaky peek of TateRyche's album today... here is "COLD"... what sayest thou, fellow geeks and nit pickers?
Ehh... it's OK, if a bit bland. I was honestly expecting it to sound worse after the constant comedy of errors over the past couple of weeks.

Not impressed - sounds like that turd got a polish on the remix. Very bland modern sounding rock. This track really shows how much range Tate has lost.

It has very little guitar identity. And the vocals are not that striking.
Is this very different than what his last solo album sounded like?
Why do you need the ex-drummer from SLAYER to play on these kinds of songs?

The song is average at best. If that's the best and what they are going to push the album with it's a lackluster album.

Oh, damn. I really like this song. Hell, it's better than nearly every song from the post-DeGarmo era.

It's not bad. Sounds like it could have been on Mindcrime II or American Soldier. This was one of the songs that, when I heard the clips on iTunes, I thought was decent. This proves he's not incapable of writing something close to actual Queensryche...I think he just chooses not to most of the time.
His last solo album has a couple of cool songs like this...but the rest of it is "meh" to awful. That's what I'm expecting from this album...some OK, some terrible.

I have not heard Mindcrime II outside of a song or two, and his self titled solo album was very good. This is decent but it just doesnot stand out enough. Also I have said it a 100 times but this would be better off being released as Geoff Tate.

Agreed...that judge was an idiot allowing both entities to use the name until trial...

It's certainly not as bad as I expected, but nothing great either. By the way, I noticed in the video that the album was mixed by Anthony Focx.
He was a dude that bounced around the LA scene for years in many bands that went nowhere. His big claim to fame was being in Beautiful Creatures. Metal Sludge did an interview with him a few years ago and called him out on a bunch of b.s. Pretty funny. Check it out...
