Age limits at metal shows - Yes or no?

If any of you remember, back in March I went to see Ace Frehley at a 19+ show, but didn't get in because, as my wallet was stollen a week earlier, I didn't have the sufficient identification.

What makes the whole legal ages show thing even worse is that, on top of these age restrictions, serurity is also getting horrible at shows. You can't do anything anymore. A lot of those adult venues already have strict policies. I don't like how they're restricting the fans so much.

This reminds me, I've talked to people who say they've been to places which will ask for ID to anyone who looks under 40!

Although I know this is a thread which is several years old now, a number of years ago, my friend wanted to see Anvil, but it was a 19+ show. He was only 18.

The unfortunate part is that he turned 19 the following week.
