Geoff Tate to Rocklahoma, "You Guys Suck"

Agreed on DeGarmo's side projects but I haven't heard a good one from Wilton.

Just looking at The Warning, Wilton has some good material in him:


"Warning" (Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton) – 4:46
"Deliverance" (Wilton) – 3:21
"Before the Storm" (Tate, Wilton) – 5:13
"Child of Fire" (Tate, Wilton) – 4:34

"I Dream In Infra-Red" and "Chemical Youth" are also Tate/Wilton songs. As are "Revolution Calling", "Speak", "Spreading The Disease", "The Needle Lies", and "My Empty Room". Then the song "Empire" as well as "Resistance"...

Those are all Tate/Wilton songs w/ no DeGarmo contributions...

Oh, Wilton surely has helped write some great Ryche tunes.

As for Wilton side-projects, I really like Soulbender.



I think I posted that elsewhere in this thread. Surely nothing like the Ryche of old, but it's solid modern rock/metal.

And then Wratchet Head isn't too bad, either.



Again, solid modern rock/metal. Both bands are far better than anything Tate or DeGarmo has down outside Queensryche.

"Nightrider" and "Blind" off the E.P were also written by Wilton. Yeah; he really sucks as a writer and a player....pfftt

DeGarmo co-wrote all 4 songs on the original EP, except for Queen Of The Reich where he gets sole credit.

Did I say he sucked as a player?

Many of the songs cited IMHO have pretty generic music but are saved by the vocal melodies.

The only reason I didn't mention the co-write part is due to the fact that DeGarmo wrote the lyrics for those two songs, and Wilton wrote the music.

Dude is taking creepy to a whole new level in that Rocklahoma video.

This is as good as it gets... on a Sunday. Sounds like an insult to the crowd to me. Last time I saw them they sucked anyways.
