I've found the cancelation comes about a week after the order is placed. Only one time have I ever gotten a shipping notice after that week. Unfortunately if you haven't heard from them after a couple of days it's probably going to end up canceled. Hope I'm wrong though.

Funny thing was I had it on my wish list for so long and never pulled the trigger during any of the sales. Then one day it shot up to forty bucks and I was kicking myself since I loved the samples. So fate shined on me saturday when I found it in store for three bucks out the door. Just need to find the time to give it a listen.

Yeah, with the band on hiatus, their albums have gone up on price. Legends can still be found at decent prices (got mine new for about $14 shortly after it's release) but the follow-up Heavenseeker is still high priced though (I was lucky enough to find it used for $9).

They also have an EP called Shot, Illusion, New God, which came out in the mid-90s. Might be self-titled, too. Doesn't seem like anyone knows for sure. I've also seen it called Shot. Either way, it's worth finding. Solid album.

Bummer that Ben, the singer, is dead, though. =(

Yea, I saw the ep on Amazon. I might get that too at some point, but it's only 3 songs. I'm too cheap to buy 3 songs for $8 bucks.

I've checked out some samples of Skin Yard when I was investigating Gruntruck and other grunge bands I overlooked. Not bad but nothing I was blown away by either. It might help if I looked up full songs though. Sometimes a :30 clip on Amazon just doesn't cut it.

A lot of those bands kind of run in the same stylistic circles, so if you dig one there's a good chance you'll dig another.

And yeah, the EP is way too expensive sometimes. Newbury Comics has a used copy in one of their stores and it's like $18.99. Ridiculous.
