Cheese yet catchy, and a very oddball band in power metal but Still extremely catchy! Any other fans here? Edit:I know a good bit of people here are christian so I might as well say (to avoid a nasty surprise in the future for some of you) that nearly every Powerwolf song makes a mockery of the Catholic church (yet they are not necessarily anti-christian). Just wanted to avoid any future disappointment for those of you out there.

The last album made my top 5 (if I remember, cant find the top albums of 2011 thread-it's like it never existed) last year. Great music despite the lyrics which I don't take seriously.

Like them for a song or so, and I love some cheese, but this brand doesn't hold me.

Really good band. I bought the latest a while back, then went back and bought their previous three. I think they're all great, but I tend to like the earlier three better than the latest. The latest is just a bit too over the top, you know. It's super-catchy, but that's it's downfall. It's like too catchy, if that makes sense. Great in single listens, but hard to listen to over and over again.
I think the same thing about Lullacry's Vol. 4. Great album, but so catchy it can get annoying.

I have Lupus Dei but I can't say I enjoy it that much. Saturday Satan is a good track but I can't really remember any else that well.

Panic! Panic in the Pentagram! This band and Sabaton are the only euro-power bands worth listening IMO (not counting the classics obviously).

I feel the same way. I can listen to a single song from Blood of The Saints and love it,but I cant listen to more than one or two at a time.
But come on, Sanctified With Dynamite is just so darn catchy!

Going to bump this thread as I have been loving this band since discovering them via their "History of Heresy" set a few months ago.
They're the metal equivalent of an old Bela Lugosi movie and I love them for it!

Powerwolf is good Halloween listening to.
I did not get into their most recent record as much, but it wasn't bad.
When I came across the We Drink Your Blood video, it was around Halloween 2012, and I listened/watched it probably 200 times that month.

They are ok - symphany metal Christmas type thing - modern sound - like a PBS special that mixes Christmas with Hallows Eve - interesting blend - looks like a cross between King Diamond and Rob Zombie - also a bit of Pirates of the Carabean too - in some odd way -

I must admit that their image is a bit of a turn off.

and to be honest I find such bands to be useless and stupid.
all they care for is to attack christianity, at a time when christians are being persecuted and their women sold as slaves by islamist groups. that is something bands should talk about.

any band that disrespects/misuses my christian religious beliefs does not deserve any attention or respect. but that is just my opinion. I prefer not to talk more because it would lead to some trouble on the thread. something I wish to avoid.
anyways not a big fan of the vocals which remind me of sabaton.
