Sometimes they bring Bret out. I know when he is wearing jean shorts there isn't going to be much of a match. Like when they had the RAW anniversary and two people from the first RAW where going to have a match: Taker & Hart. Didn't happen tho and I knew it when I saw him in those jean shorts and tennis shoes.

ECW legend Shane Douglas caused a stir at Raw event:
I guess Shane never forgave WWE for the Dean Douglas character.

A new character is going to be revealed in WWE in a month or so called Lord Tensai. However, it isn't a newcommer to WWE. It's actually Prince Albert/A-Train, known in Japan as Giant Bernard.

Just what we need in WWE; another big, lumbering oaf who can't wrestle his way out of a paper bag.
There's definitely a place in pro wrestling for guys like this but they have to be in non-PG matches IMO. These types of characters need to be major asskickers who make their opponent suffer and bleed so the audience is distracted from their actual inability to wrestle.
Let's set up a fatal fourway between Big Show, Kane, The Great Khali and "Lord Tensai". Yeah, great entertainment!

He's supposed to get a monster heel push against either Cena or Orton. He has spent the last many years in Japan, usually that kind of move requires you to up your game, so maybe he won't be as bad as he was. In Japan he became very popular for his stiff wrestling style so maybe he will bring something different this time (but of course I could be wrong).

Hey, he's better than another name going around the rumor mill for a WWE return. Mabel/Vicera/Big Daddy V, the fattest, ugliest ex-goth of Undertaker's Ministry may be comming back.

He's actually not a bad wrestler. He proved it in Japan, where he delivered quite a few good matches like Giant Bernard vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi from NJPW Circuit 2008 New Japan Cup or Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson vs. Hirooki Goto & Hiroshi Tanahashi from NJPW New Japan Soul 2011 He really is more of an Tag-Team wrestler, back then he was mostly put into the singles midcard scene and the midcard was filled with talentless guys back in the Attitude era.

I wonder why they would've any interest in him. He isn't a good wrestler, he was never popular, he is getting fatter and fatter. Last time i saw him was at that horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE JCW Legends & Icons show. He competed in a Battle Royale (oddly enough won by Zach Gowen) and needed three tries to eliminate himself. He couldn't pull all his fat over the top rope. It was hilariously bad

Never liked Viscera. The last angle I seen with him, chasing Lillian Garcia, made me cringe every week.
A-Train/Albert always put on hard hitting matches, the last I seen of him, in 2002/2003, but they kept him mostly on Sunday Night HEAT or Saturday on VELOCITY, which was ok for me as I didn't have to see the same guys they used on RAW and Smackdown.

Some sad news regarding The Ugandan Giant, Kamala. James Harris known in wrestling as Kamal lost his left leg last year due to high blood pressure and diabetes. Now it looks like he may have to loose his right leg next:
To loose one leg is bad enough, but both is even worse. My heart certainly goes out to him. While not a great ring general, I was always entertained by his antics (despite them being a tad racist-superstitious African tribal native who is easily manipulated by civilized man).

Yeah, Brock just signed a 1 year deal. He will probably show up at Mania tonight and then work the PPV's. Kind of glad to see him back. Wonder what match he will interfere in tonight. Thats the down side of the internet. I would love to be surprised about a return but everything is made public now before it makes it to tv.
Have the DVR set up to record the Hall Of Fame tomorrow night. From what people are saying Flair cant wait for his TNA contract to expire.

Wouldn't surprise me. His tries of enterting MMA went nowhere, his movie 'career' went nowhere and he's not well enough known to be featured anywhere on Mainstream TV. Nobody is interested in this guy. Besides, by now there are a few new Divas at the WWE, we all know the stories about Batista trying to Smurf every Diva at the WWE.
If it happens, i'm glad i'm not really following the WWE. Can't stand this guy, he looks like an sfincter, he behaves like an sfincter and he's a worse wrestler than the Ultimate Warrior ever was.

Not that big of a Batista fan either though I think he plays the part of an sfincter bully really well (probably because he is-he's also a steroid freak, you don't look like him or Scott Steiner naturally). Also depending on who he's paired with in a match he's actually somewhat watchable. Just not sure how he'd fit back in as Kane, Mark Henry, and the upcomming debut of Lord Tensai (A-Train) fill the badass bully role that he had.
Every year I order Wrestlemania out of habit. Unfortunatly, in the last several years it ends up being just an expensive Raw/Smackdown supershow. However, for the first time in a while, I'm actually anticipating this show. Apart from the crappy music performances (that's what mute button is for), there are really only two matches I could care less about (three if they have plans for a quick Funkasarus squash match-BORING!) and that's Team Long vs. Team Laryngitis (do we really see Teddy Long running both shows?) and the obligatory Diva's match (bathroom break).
The only other one I don't really care much about is Orton vs. Kane. While Orton's matches are usually good and Kane is fairly decent in matches, the build up of this was rushed and makes no sense. Every other match are ones I'm anticipating as I'm not sure which direction they will go. I'm sure Punk and Jericho will probably steal the show as they are two of my favorite wrestlers in the past decade or so. That is one I'm looking forward to the most. Undertaker & HHH always do good in Hell In A Cell matches, it will be interesting to see how the DB vs. Shemus match will be handled, and I really want to see what will happen between Cena and Rock. I'm not a huge fan of either guy but the build up to this match has been quite interesting.
I'm probably setting myself up for a huge dissapointment, but it's nice to be ordering a Wrestlemania because I want to and not because it's a yearly tradition.

Forgot Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show. Just like the Orton/Show match, I'm not sure about this one. Cody puts on great matches and Big Show has been upping his game, but both guys do better with others their own size. It is pretty unpredictable though. Big Show has been humiliated during this entire feud so there is a possibility of him winning. On the other hand, Cody needs a victory in this match more than Big Show does (Cody still has a long career ahead of him whie Big Show's career is winding down).

Wrestlemania kicked off to a crappy start:
Spoiler:
Shemus beat DB in 26 seconds. This match was shorter than the Divas match is going to be and or a Funkasaurus squash.
Hopefully this will not be indictive of things to come, but I expected more from that match.
I knew when that was the opening match that it was going to be the obligatory squash. I went over a friends to watch this, as he is still a huge fan. The show was predictable as usual.
Wrestlemania was the perfect crap show to end a weekend that was full of smurf poo (1 one of my RAM modules in the PC died, the Red Wings played like crap, 1860 Munich lost and played liked crap, the weather wasn't really good, i was out of beer on sunday....without my girlfriend i surely would've gone crazy) and despite knowing better i watched it live (1am to 5am, sometimes i really wish the earth was flat and there aren't any time zones)
Well, it started off bad. I really, really, really like Bryan Danielson, have so since his Ring of Honor days (where he really was the "Best in the World") and that...thing (i don't want to call it a match) just put me off. Danielson and Sheamus can put off something good, so why they did this i don't know. Next couple of matches were completely forgettable. Big Show - Rhodes was mediocre, Kane - Orton was lame and the Divas were crap as always and having this celebrity (whoever she is, i have no clue) win it...yeah, it's Wrestlemania, they do it since a couple of years). That Undertaker - HHH match was lame. Why make it a Hell in a Cell, when you don't use the Cell at all? It was the same match like the previous 3 years with HBK and the first with HHH: punch punch punch, weapon, weapon, finisher and kick out. Repeat until your mind goes numb and we all knew that Undertaker would never lose. And his look was cheap, the black around his eyes and the short stubles of hair made him look like a transvestite who lost his wig. Punk - Jericho could've been awesome and while it was a really good match, the sudden addition of No-DQ made it bad. You could really see that both wrestler had no clue if they either should do an all-out wrestling match or put the DQ thing into play, which in the end they tried both and it didn't really work. Cena - Rock was not really good. Rock was out of gas by the middle of the match, some moves looked really bad (Cena really should learn how to properly apply an STF and Rocks Sharpshooter...i bet if Bret Hart or Sting watched it, they went ROFL)
Then we had lame skits (that Foley & Santino thing was lame) and the HOF thing was way, waaaaaay too short. But i was really surprised that WWE got Ric Flair to appear. Kudos for this. Then came long promos, more Advertisement (as far as i know americans have to pay 65$ for Wrestlemania? And WWE needs to still show KMart spots? Crazy!) and the "music" Oh my God...i mean that Funkasaurus thing with his mommy was lame but who was that bulimic white guy? As another one at a wrestling board wrote: Who gave a kid from the Make-a-Wish Foundation a mic? It was a rapper and it was horrible and he was booed out of the arena. Then came the next rapper who looked like a tattooed black version of Mr. Clean (ha, took me a google search to find his american name ) Horrible.
And overall, this wasn't a good Wrestlemania and while it certainly wasn't the worst (I don't think anyone can top 2, 9, 11 and 15) it was about as bad as previous year.
Different strokes... Maybe since the majority of my wrestling life has been steepped in the American style (being American of course), I'm less hard on the wrestlers. The Undertaker/HHH match was about suspense and butality and I think they delivered. It was not supposed to be a wrestling clinic. For a brawling match that was about doing everything possible to win they did a fine job and that's not just my opinion. CM Punk/Jericho to me was the highlight of the show (that and the Taker/HHH match made it worth the money to me). Everything else dissapointed though as Orton is capable of better matches and so is Kane really (the chemistry just wasn't there), the squash match pissed me off (DB deserves better), divas match was typical, Team Long vs. Team Laryngitis was predictable, and Big Shows victory was not needed, and Rock vs. Cena was pretty pathetic and Rock's win made no sense in the long run (why give the victory to someone who is just going to ponsy off back to Hollywood).
BTW, I'M JUST JUDGING IT ON WWE TODAY'S STANDARDS. IT WAS BETTER IN THE PAST AND COMPARED TO THAT IT WAS JUST PLAIN AWFUL. MY OPINION OF WRESTLEMANIA 28 IS BASED ON COMPARISSON OF THE LAST 5 YEARS. IMO, WWE's GLORY DAYS ARE BEHIND THEM (AND MY PASSION FOR WRESTLING IS TOO AS I ONLY WATCH IT ONCE A WEEK AND DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ELSEWHERE THAN WWE). MAYBE THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE, YOU STILL HAVE A STRONG PASSION FOR WRESTLING AND MINE HAS FADED. IN A FEW YEARS I MIGHT BREAK MY HABIT AND LEAVE IT BEHIND IF IT DOESN'T IMPROVE.
I forgot the worst turds of Wrestlemania last night:
Funkasarus with the dancers dressed as his "mamma and her bridge club" was stupid and went on way too long. They really laid an egg with this gimmick. Also the "music" performances by Machine Gun Kelly and Flo Rida were vomit enducing and reminded me why I hate modern rap and pop music.
I have a problem with Hell In The Cell when WWE insists on producing a PG product. How the hell can it be Hell In The Cell without a lot of blood? Remember Mankind vs Undertaker in a cell? That was "Hell" In The Cell. This stuff is merely "Heck" In The Cell.
I read about the Daniel Bryan/Sheamus "match" too. What the hell was that? I used to like Bryan because he can wrestle and it's to his credit at playing a heel that I hate him now but I still respect his talent in the ring. And Sheamus may not be a luchador in there but he can sure go a lot longer than 18 seconds. Stupid.
And I still say Brodus Clay should be the next One Man Gang but they're totally screwing up by saddling him with this lame gimmick.

Thing is, when it comes to intensity, rivalry and sheer out hate...watch those mid-90's Kevin Sullivan - Chris Benoit matches (they hated each other in real live because Chris Benoit took Kevin Sullivans wife, Women) or watch some Mitsuharu Misawa - Kenta Kobashi or Mitsuharu Misawa - Jun Akiyama Matches. They beat the living smurf poo out of each other and during the matches created new moves (the Emeral Flowsion was really something new they created on the spot). Those matches were intense, extreme and brutalm without soap opera story elements. (Watch those matches, they're on Youtube and can be downloaded from Wrestling Torrent sites, everything with Misawa, Akiyama and Kobashi is awesome!
Same goes for most of the north american scene in the past few years. The whole Age of the Fall storyline in Ring of Honor was awesome, a group that were heels, later split up and beat the smurf poo out of each other with Jimmy Jacobs going batshit insane. I know the WWE is PG-rated and is lame and hope that their target audience don't know crap about real pro-wrestling but with Punk and Danielson and the Internet, even the most hardcore WWE fans whoud leanr about those US Indy matches. They should see that awesome CM Punk - Chris Hero Matches, those awesome Bryan Danielson Matches and think "It's pretty lame what the WWE present as wrestling"

In my oppinion Survivor Series 2011 Money in the Bank 2011 Extreme Rules 2011 were better than this Wrestlemania
Well I never saw any of those (accept Money In The Bank-which I agree with you on) as Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania are the only ones I order no matter what (even when unemployed-last year I was for three months without any money comming in) so I can't say whether I agree or not. Again though, it could just be differing opinions.
