| What are your recommendations for thrash metal from the UK?
I received an email from someone wanting suggestions. So far I've listed: Xentrix Re-Animator Gama Bomb
I also just remembered: Pariah

| Besides the ones you already have listed: D.A.M. Broken Bones - Losing Control (their other stuff is more hardcore / punk, but this album is pure thrash / crossover!) Amnesia Drunken State (power / thrash) Slammer Acid Reign Blood Money (has a NWOBHM flair in the music as well) Onslaught Skyclad Sabbat Virus Toranaga Deathwish Cerebral Fix Hellbastard _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

You've obviously not heard their first couple of albums. The Wayward Sons Of Mother Earth sounds more like a Sabbat album than Mourning Has Broken did. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

The albums I've heard with Shyclad were folk/prog/metal. The band sounded that way live too.... _________________

| Yeah, the first few Skyclad albums were more thrashy, with only a few folk influences. It wasn't until their third album I think, Jonah's Ark, that things got properly folky and even then, there was still a thrash edge.
Also, the first band that came in to my mind when seeing this topic was Sabbat. Fantastic band, can't wait to see them this weekend. _________________

SACRILEGE (early days) and ANIHILATED were great too.

How many of the bands listed here have had some sort of a mass following or are really well known, Seventh Angel included?

Sabbat was on Noise, and was well known in the metal circuit. Much more so than Seventh Angel... _________________

I just copied and pasted the bands I listed from a big list I have of thrash bands from all over the world. Sabbat was probably the only one that had any kind of sizeable following from the ones I posted. _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me
