This may not technically be a TV show, but how'bout the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series? I loved (and still love) the novels by the late Douglas Adams and the BBC mini-series adaptation from the mid '80s was pretty neat stuff. At one time I remember borrowing cassettes of a BBC radio production from the library when I was in high school, too! The big-budget movie version from a few years back was cool too, even though it deviated from the novels in many ways.

I hear that there's a new "Hitchhiker's" novel in the works (this would be #6 for those of you keeping score) that will be out in late '09... the name of the author taking Adams' place slips my mind but supposedly he was hand-picked by Douglas' widow to pick up where Douglas left off. I'm not sure how I feel about someone else playing around with Adams' universe, but I'm sure I'll read the book when it's released anyway.

That reminds me, I really need to replace some of my paperback versions of my "Hitchhiker's" books... they're quite dog-eared from repeated reads over the past 20-something years....

Monty Python is hilarious, and Mr. Bean is also, but to a much lesser degree. Both good stuff.
