Too bad nothing worked out for him after he left Overkill... I've always liked his songwriting and albums the best.
Their best years were 1987-89. (But I do like Horrorscope as well).

| Cool interview, but his life sounds kind of depressing I also found it strange that he said that he didn't like Rat Skates anymore because in "Get Thrashed" the two were sitting together doing an interview and seemed to get along. I would tend to agree that the band went downhill when he left. Horrorscope wasn't bad, but it was massively overrated. Ironbound is actually much better. I also didn't know that he's another person to add to the list of being asked to join Megadeth | |

I was at that show! It was an outdoor gig at Ramapo College in New Jersey. In fact, I saw Bobby wandering around during the opening band and got his autograph on my ticket stub. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Bobby is one hell of a guitar player and composer. Overkill has went downhill all the way without him | |

| His era of Overkill was my favorite by far. The songs people seem to want to hear is the ones he had a hand in writing. That period was the real Overkill to me. | |

| Interesting read. They sure put out some classic stuff with him and they certainly slipped a bit without him. Who knows how things would have been had he stayed in the band? | |

| I have to agree that Gustafon-era had their best material by far. In fact, since I like the first two albums a lot better than the next two, I would even say that the Rat Skates-era was their best. I do enjoy Horrorscope, ] W.F.O., and Ironbound, but their first two albums will always have a special place in my heart. - Spiner202 wrote:

Jim Durkin from Dark Angel was also given an opportunity to join Megadeth at one point (or maybe it was Eric Meyer).

I think both of them were in the early days.

I think both of them were in the early days. I heard it was Eric Meyer. (even though Durkin is the better player)

+1 I like songs from all their records. I just think their "definitive" classic stuff was with Gustafson.
