Cool. Nah, I've always dug that band, even though they got so overexposed so quickly (esp. after Cobain ate a bullet). By the late 90s I was pretty sick of 'em for a while but I've been meaning to upgrade my beat up old cassette copy of that album for quite some time now. That 20th anniversary version looks pretty sweet, it adds a coupla single b-sides and some live stuff they did for the BBC. Besides that, the booklet has a buncha rare photos 'n' stuff and I geek out on that sorta thing. Funniest thing is a picture of what I assume is the original "Proof" of the cover artwork w/the baby in the swimming pool -- there's a handwritten note in the margin (presumably from the photographer) that sez "If anyone has a problem with his dick, we can remove it." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Woo, I totally forgot what I first came to this thread for -- on a whim I stopped by the little rinky-dink thrift store in town this morning and at the bottom of a stack of teen-pop and Latin music CDs I found Slayer's UNDISPUTED ATTITUDE for a buck. Kind of odd to find that one amidst all that other flotsam, but I ain't complainin'. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

9 Chambers - s/t Spiritual Beggars - Demons (deluxe 2-cd version) Let me know how that 9 Chambers is. Been meaning to pick it up. Not sure if you're a Monster Magnet fan, but did you know they've been releasing limited edition EPs through their own label? They've released three so far, two by them and one by someone else. I missed the first one, sadly, but the leftovers from the Euro tour of the new one are supposed to be going on sale something before the end of the month. Annoying that I missed the first one. =(

I hope you get herpes! Haha. I knew you were going to say something. That disc was $1.99, so I figured I'd give it a go. Not sure if I dig it. He comes off more like 50s/60s rock than blues. It's good, but when I see and old, rundown black dude on the cover of an album in the blues section, I'm expecting some of that old-timey dirty blues, you know. And he plays with a glove on his left hand?

Sadly, you can't ever get them all. Unless you're financially well off and while not a whole lot of people are as poor as me, I don't think any of us have that kind of money. That being said, I bought some stuff today at Movie Trading Company (good thing I don't have rent and too many bills or I would never be able to buy as much music as I do): For $8.99 For $6.99 Cover songs from the prog prodigy that gave us Spock's Beard with the other members of his solo band.

I think the fact that the lyrics now are in their native swedish language makes it all sound more authentic and it fits the music perfectly. At least to me who understand swedish, not sure how that is working out for you over there.... Today Saint Deamon - Pandeamonium
