Favorite "One Hit Wonder"

Just wondering what everyone's favorite 1 hit wonders are. Ya know, songs that you hear every now and again and love but no one you know actually has the album and you had to buy one of those compilations to get it that has a title like Arena Rock of the 80's or Spirit of the 60's, etc. One of mine is Black Betty by Ram Jam from sometime in the 1970's.

I really like those one hit wonders of the '70s discs like the Time Life ones (hosted by Barry Williams and Air Supply). Songs like "Magic" - Pilot, "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" - Elvin Bishop...Everything that are on these discs pretty much.

This is not an advertisement for Time Life, these are the only discs where I can find these songs, that's all.

I'd have to say mine was When the Children Cry-White Lion.

I have another one: Sugarloaf- "Green Eyed Lady"
The title sounds kinda like something RJD would have cooked up with Rainbow in the late 70's. Cool tune though. Peace.

I burned a whole disc of these. Kicks off with the Aldo Nova "Fantasy" song, and has a bunch of other songs of that vintage (Billy Squire etc.). It's fun to listen to, but a serious guilty pleasure for sure.

I think the Red Ryder song (from the As far as Siam album) was every wrestling teams anthem cuz of the movie Vision Quest. I know it was ours
I started this thread hoping for metal or hard rock ohw's but that Murray Head song is cool and brought back some memories. Thanks for your input.

Yep, I still like them anyway. It's a sick and twisted life I lead. I don't recall if their cover of Cats in the Cradle was a hit as well?

Does Faith No More count as a one hit wonder (at least in the US)? Everytime I wear my FNM King for a Day... shirt someone gives me a hard time about them being a crappy rap group. I then proceed to ask them to name one song besides Epic and get a blank stare.

Some VH1 show said We're Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister was a one hit wonder, so I vote for that.

Hey a song besides Epic! Digging the grave is an excellent song, I consider just about all the Mike Patton era Faith No More to be classic.
