Doom coming back strong!

Ok I am not trying to plug these just because 2 Out of 3 are in the Roxx store but seriously the Doom is set to make a killer come back!

David Bensons remaster of purpose of the cross came out awesome and the bonus tracks are killer!

Place of Skulls - love through this ep is awesome i can't get enough of it!

And BLS the song remains not the same is awesome!

Can't get enough doom! Especially with the end of the world coming soon (ha ha)

Maybe a doom fest on the last day of the Mayan calendar! (note to self to work on that)

I have the David Benson re-release. It's more straight forward, traditional heavy metal. Sort of Sabbath meets Priest with an Ozzy-clone on vocals. It's not bad at all. I can certainly see how David would be called an Ozzy-clone. It's sort of uncanny at times, but then I remember back in the day when he was saying he was giving people a Christian alternative to Ozzy.

For sure, he was never shy about what he was doing. I seem to remember ads in Heaven's Metal that stated something like that.

Well it was an amazing show! I've waited so long for an opportunity to see Solitude Aeturnus and finally, they played in Vegas! They sounded great! Very cool guys too!!

The only other band at the entire fest that really impressed me were a band called Leeches of Lore from Alb. NM. High pitched heavy metal vocals to match with doom. I was very impressed. 3 piece band with a drummer, guitarist/vocalist, and a keyboard player.

I didn't take any pictures. I was having more fun hanging out.

I really dig that David Benson disc....

It's sorta been in perpetual rotation in my car the last couple of weeks....
