In the 1980's a corrupt industry prepared to remove Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, because they planned to mess with other sounds. Ever since they have been building on this manufactured industry you witness today, looking for the perfect music scam and how to sell it to the public. They started messing with Hip Hop, taking out its lyrical relevance, and created this devoid brand of nonsensical "Hip Pop". A fraud product that was to be force-fed to the masses. Meanwhile Rock and Metal were to be taken out like Jazz and Classical. As was anything else with other remote musical components.

Well, let me tell you guys that if you're thinking of joining up w/HubPages, don't do it thinking it's a get rich quick scheme. I've been there for six weeks now and according to the "earnings" thingy on my profile, I've made a grand total of one cent (!) via Google AdSense. So I guess I shouldn't quit my job to write for this site full time ... haha.

I honestly was surprised to see that I've earned anything at all (but at least it shows that I have the affiliate stuff working correctly, anyway)... I mean, it's a nice idea in theory that somebody will be so moved by my articles on the new Anvil CD or the "Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus" movie that they'll click the Amazon links at the bottom of the page and order a copy immediately so I'd get a cut... but I think we all know how likely that is to happen.

I'm gonna keep posting stuff there simply cuz it's fun, but wow, when I read postings from people there complaining about how they're not making any money, I'm thinking that maybe they've got their sights set a wee bit too high.

In addition, Crashdiet posted the link to my HubPage about their GENERATION WILD album on their official Facebook page today and my page views for that article went thru the frickin' roof. I got almost 200 views in one day. Damn! As far as page views go, it's neck-and-neck with my award-winning Asylum article (my all time leader) now.

I'm glad to know that some other people besides you guys and my immediate family are reading my ramblings. Actually, I'm not even sure if my immediate family is reading them!!!

Oh, and here's my newest: this is the first in what I hope will be an ongoing series of "Best 'n' Worst" entries where I'll dissect the discographies of some of my favorite bands (inspired, of course, by the Discography threads found on this forum...!) Nice job on the 3 part series on Priest. Just finished reading it. I thought you were a little off on Angel of Retributon, but spot on with Nostradamas. Still a good read though.

Thanx man. I'd like to do a whole series of those "Best 'n' Worst" articles on other bands with large catalogs but it was a beast finding enough time to sit down, figure out where all those records were gonna rank, and then banging it out, so it'll be a while before I take on another one.

I've been busy as hell over the past couple of weeks so I haven't had time to whip up anything new, hopefully I'll have some fresh material soon.
