Arrrrgh! (tears out hair)

Though I love a lotta the stuff on that list, there was a period in my life where I probably listened to Crimson Glory's TRANSCENDENCE more than everything else up there put together. So I vote for that.

1988 was an amazing, amazing year. Not just for metal but for life in general at that time. I graduated from high school and began college, the world was my oyster.

...now I'm old and cranky and I look back at how stupid I was about certain things and I wish I could just reach back in time and smack myself. Very Happy

From the voteable choices, I went with Queensryche. Mindcrime was my intro to the band and a longtime fav. However if GnR's Lies made the cut, that woulda got my fan-boy vote. Lotsa good choices though.

Went with the 'ryche with Maiden breathing down their neck. Man, that was a great year. Not sure if Cinderella wouldn't have gotten the vote if they were on it.

I remember having a "sanctuary" church t shirt back then and wishing it was a "sanctuary" band shirt headbanger

I had one of those shirts too, and after a while I gave up trying to explain to people that it wasn't the "band"...

HOLY CRAP! I don't think I've ever been so stressed in my life. This is horrible lol!

The obvious choice for me would have been Helloween...BUT!, I'm actually not going that route. I picked Queensryche- Operation Mindcrime. I was into Queensryche way before I even knew about Helloween and I played Operation Mindcrime almost every day when I bought it. My other choice would have been Crimson Glory.

That was tough...

O:M is the one album from that poll I don't care as much about. If I were to put all 15 in a list from favorite to least favorite, O:M would be at the bottom of the list. Not sure why, but I never could get into it like I did their EP, Warning and Rage. I thought it was weak in comparison. I don't hate it, and have grown to appreciate it over the years, but it's not a favorite.

I can see that if you compare it to those albums.
