I opened it, took out the CD, and threw the box away. Haha. I just pulled that album out last week and gave it a fresh spin for the 1st time in awhile. Still pretty good. I remember hearing the demos from that album on a car stereo, sitting in the parking lot at Tower Records. The guy sitting to the left of Dean Davidson (Tony something?) was buddies with the clerks there and gave us a sneak preview of Dean's "new band" after leaving Britney Fox. Ah, those were the days. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I own this one: It contains the first four albums each on a separate CD with a bunch of demos and so forth as bonus tracks. It also has liner notes detaling the band's history and lots of photos. It's quite awesome. I've actually been thinking about buying the Venom MMV box set, but I don't know. It's suppose to have a nice booket and a poster, but I already have almost everything on there. The main reason why I'm interested in it is because of the song "Senile Decay", which doesn't seem to be available on any other Venom CDs. I kinda hate to spend a lot of money just for that, but Venom is my favorite band so it might just be kind of a cool thing to have in my collection. What do you guys think?

Not the same as the long boxes. The long boxes were just an extra cardboard box they put regular CD's in back in the day. They were not all that limited either, but people threw tham away, and now they are sort of sought after by collectors. _________________

| The last store I can remember that carried long boxes was Costco Wholesale. However, they didn't carry any metal. | |

| It's a great box set though. And the box is long. Doesn't fit real easily on the shelf. And just to stay off topic a bit - that Venom box has made me a big fan. Bought it cheap as a collector item but am so glad I did. Loving it. Nico, don't know where you are located but I found my box at Amoeba records in Los Angeles (they have two other CA locations and do sell online) for 25.00. I've seen it there before one other time for that price. Compared to what it usually goes for that is a steal. Both money and music wise.
Back on topic - I have one long box, and really it's not even a true long box since it is the plactic kind with the art on top and the disc below. It's the Under The Boardwalk OST. Hated those back in the day since I always managed to get nasty plastic cuts trying to get the disc out.
Sadly my original long box art was all destroyed when I kept it stored in a box with all my magazines in my parent's basement which flooded. In college I had my entire wall plastered with them. Even one of my uptight preppy roommates thought it looked cool. I also used to get a lot of album flats from a local place. Those were also destroyed. Still painful thinking about it.

| I've got Leatherwolf's Street Ready longbox somewhere around here. I think it's the only longbox cd I ever bought. I joined the cd revolution extremely late though. We are talking 95 or 96. | |

Theres some cool smurf poo in the Venom boxset, but it's not really worth the price IMO. Most of the tracks are on the remasters. Just do what I did, cut the smurfette open and steal the discs.
