Anthrax.com ticks me off!

I hate sights that you have to pay and join in order to get the news, photos, etc. In order to get most of the Anthrax news you have to join their fan club.

Wow, that is a cheap way to make money.

I understand a band's need to make some money in this day and age, but c'mon!! Anthrax charging their fans $30 bucks to join the fan club? That's shameful.

I don't mind them charging money to join their fan club, or even to have a private area for fan club members on their web site. However, it is annoying that they only give blurbs of news on the free portion of their site and then say to see their $30 a year site for the details and photos.

Scott and Charlie must have gotten that idea from porn sites

They don't have a regular site? Lots of bands have a regular site and then a fan club site. If not, that's pretty weak.

usually their members will send the info to Blabbermouth if it is of any importance.

They have a regular site, but they only put blurbs of the news on there and say to see their CDC site for more information and photos.

Speaking of 'Thrax, weren't they supposed to be naming their new singer by now? Back in June, Scott said an announcement would be coming soon. I know the hot rumor is the guy from Slipknot/Stone Sour (his name escapes me at the moment), but has there been an official press release or announcement? Did I miss something while I was on vacation?

Actually, that's what I was doing at Anthrax.com, looking to see what the vocalist news was. Still nothing. They still have Joey listed as their vocalist.

I remember reading where the last disc they made with John Bush only sold 68,000 copies... I wish I could remember the article, maybe someone else can confirm that.... oh we'd have to pay $29.95 to find out????

Corey''s supposedly "writing" with Anthrax but there has been no definitive statement from either the Anthrax camp or the Slipknot camp about whether he's the new vocalist
