Metallica's One vs Dark Angel's Darkness Descends (the song)

Did anyone notice the similarities between the intro on Dark Angel's Darkness Descends (song off 1986 release of the same title) and the mid-section break of Metallica's One ?

What I'm suggesting is that Metallica's mid-section break in One sounds very, blatantly inspired by the first 2 minutes of this song.

... or is it just my impression?

Well, other than they both have a little break where there's some doublebass before the guitars start again, I don't really see any similarities....

I don't hear it at all.

But I hear a similarity between OverKill's "Who Tends the Fire" (clean intro part) and Slayer's clean intro to Seasons in the Abyss.

It's highly likely that these bands listen to each other and some similarities will sneak in.

Another one, maybe someone's pointed it out before; the acoustic parts in Exciter - Waiting in the Dark, Testament - Eerie Inhabitants, and Overkill - End of the Line are all very similar, especially the latter two.
