Highlander on blu-ray for 5.00 from Target. Hope the picture quality is better than the crummy dvd. Love the movie but that dvd was almost unwatchable.

When dvds first came out I spent a small fortune buying both Red Dawn and Young Frankenstein. Always felt Vertical Limit was criminally underrated.


Since it's the season I finally got the blu-rays of Halloween and Dawn Of The Dead.

I haven't seen "Red Dawn" or "Young Frankenstein" in ages. I'm not even sure that I've ever seen "Vertical Limit" to be honest, but it was there, it looked cool, and it was cheap

I had a history teacher in high school who was obsessed with "Red Dawn," he seriously thought that was not just a movie, but a primer on how we teens were going to have to live our lives when the Russkies attacked. He made us watch it in class and everything. After a while it became well known around school that the best way to get him goin' off on a tangent was to mention that movie, cuz then he'd ramble on and on about it for the rest of the class period and you wouldn't have to do any "real" work.

Vertical Limit is quite good I think, I've watched it a couple times.

Young Frankenstein is a masterpiece.

Red Dawn....no comment.

Awwww c'mon, it's not just a movie, it's an instruction manual! How else would I have learned that if the Russians shoot up your pickup truck's radiator, you can get on the road again just by pissin' in it?

I was already thinking the same thing. I am fairly sure that I've seen one of the "SnakeEater" films years & years ago, but I can't remember which one it was.

I own all three of 'em now, so perhaps I can refresh your memory.

In the first one, his parents get killed and his sister gets kidnapped.

In the second one, he gets sent to a mental institution and sneaks out to kill drug dealers (His sidekick is the same guy that played Lamar in Revenge of the Nerds. By far the cheesiest film in the trilogy).

Finally, in the third one, he goes after some bikers who attacked and traumatized a young girl.

I think it must've been the second one. I vaguely remember "Lamar" and the mental institution.

Do you by any chance recall the scene where they go to the Italian restaurant disguised as health inspectors and plant a bomb in a toilet? That was pretty cool.

The third one is my favorite, though.

That rings a bell, but you gotta keep in mind it's been 20+ years since I last saw it, and I used to drink a lot of malt liquor while watching movies... Haha.

Dammit now you've got me curious about seeing these SnakeEater flicks again!! It'd be like seeing them for the first time!
