Which do you like better?

Flotsam & Jetsam - The Cold
Death Angel - Relentless Retribution

Man what a toughie. Gotta go with Death Angel though.

I'm interested in hearing both but haven't had a chance yet.

I've heard both and I think the edge has to go to Death Angel.

I have not heard either one of these discs so I have no opinion on these albums

I am disappointed with the new Death Angel, but I CAN enjoy it.
I thought I would like "The Cold," but aside from the first song, I find personally find it boring.

Haven't heard either album but in general I prefer F&J over Death Angel... for whatever that's worth

I voted "I think they both suck" because I truly don't like either of them.

i've only heard the DA so far & it's not bad. i'll refrain from voting until i snag that F&J.

Death Angel, their album in discussion is far more aggressive and destructive

plus, their logo is cooler

Save for a few samples I haven't really heard the new Death Angel, but I have to go with Flotsam & Jetsam because The Cold is great, was just listening to it yesterday. I don't know what I'm missing, but Death Angel just has never appealed much to me. Not that they're a bad band, but compared to all the other cds in my collection, Death Angel never sees the light of day for me. It's been at least a year since I listened to Act III.

Have yet to hear either, but I tend to favor Death Angel.

I'm not familiar with any of them. Although i read some excellent reviews on both.

They're on my must have list. I still don't know which albums to buy, especially with the current budget restrictions.

I can't comment because I haven't heard the F&J cd.

just listened to the new F&J. it puts me in mind of Nevermore or something like that. very good production & Eric still sounds good. if i was simply going for thrash, i'd probably pick the DA, but overall The Cold just sounds better to my ears.

Flotsam is better.

I agree with the Nevermore comparison. And that's a good thing!

Not a fan of F&J and this new album just sounds so uninspired.

Death Angel lost their touch way back! They released Frolic back in 88 and that was the last album I liked by them. Just not digging the band anymore.

Did you listen to the new tunes?

I dig F&J overall more as a band but the new DA album so far sounds much stronger than the F&J.

Yeah I listened to them. The music reminisces Machine Head at times and I hate that. Plus I hear those start/stop riffs that Pantera were famous for and it bothers me too. The vocals are ok, but to me they don't fit the sound.

I think people like these albums just because it is those bands.
