I very rarely buy imports because of the higher price, but I don't think I could wait til the U.S. release for The Showdown. Two of the best vocalists in heavy metal today with one of the most underrated guitaritst with a golden touch for melody come together once again and I for one am highly stoked!

I have their first album. I remember it being good, but I just don't listen to it that often.

I like what these guys do together better then anything else they have worked on. I'll have to wait for the U.S. release though.

The first album was awesome. One of my most listened to cds I think. The second one was almost just as good. I can't wait for this one. Depending on the price of the import I might wait as well. Besides I really need to catch up on stuff I already bought since I joined this board, what is it now 2 years ago? haha

I'm with you, I have heard The Battle so many times, I've memorized almost all the lyrics to it and I have never read them in the booklet.

I can't wait to get it! The Battle is one of my faves, I listen to it at least once a month. I like both these guys separately but together they are awesome.

Too bad Allen's solo album wasn't all that. Dude has a killer voice.

I agree that the solo album was a bit of a disappointment, the songwriting just wasn't there. Nothing wrong with his voice at all, his performance was decent but the songs just weren't there.

Not familiar with this band. Another one to check out.

Don't know if anyone read the caption on the link but according to Magnus, this album is heavier and more straight forward than the last two. Makes me anticipate it even more.

On a simi-related note. Fans of melodic metal may be interested in knowing of another Magnus project with Mat Sinner called Kiske/Summerville featuring the former Helloween vocalist and Amanda Sommerville (Epica, After Forever, Avantasia) sharing vocal duties. The U.S. release is this tuesday.

One of my fav bands ever!!! This is a must have and I heard of this news a few months ago!!! Cant wait!!!
