Yea they certainly did have a glam image... Not long afterwards they discovered Exhorder and the rest is history as they say. |

Nah, I wouldn't classify those as sleaze. Straight up 80s rock with a touch of glam (the look) and metal. |

I frickin' HATE when people say this. It's absolutley retarded. It's just internet nonsense created to discredit a band. It's just like the whole "Linkin Park is a corporate-made band." It's simply not true. |

If you've heard the first four Pantera albums then you'd know that they got consistently heavier over the course of each album, they didn't just make some crazy jump into a new, heavier style. |

| In the 80's there was a whole movement that paralled the sleazy glam metal movement and that was what i would call the glam punk n' roll scene. It despised glam metal and was more from the Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls school of glam, even though they both shared that glam gypsy look. All these bands are from the 80's and are brilliant. Not long afterwards they discovered Exhorder and the rest is history as they say. The first 4. I have them on vinyl, but only their debut sound/look a little sleazy. Their second and Thirth were more melodic heavy metal and POWER METAL pure POWER METAL (a mix between MEGADETH, METAL CHURCH and early HEXX). | |
