My friend pointed out to me the other day that David Vincent has been back with the band since 2004 and we've yet to see a new album. Wonder what the hold up is? They're not getting any younger...

Love me some Morbid Angel.
They are in my top 3 favorite death metal bands!
I'll buy anything they serve up!

I think they were waiting to finalize a new record deal first.

Eh, Morbid Angel's decent for what they are, but there's a whole lot of Death Metal that's much much better.

I've read various times that 'they' have been trying to get Erik Rutan back into the band. Not sure of the validity but that would be cool.

Never cared much for post-Blessed are the Sick MA, but Altars of Madness is one of the best death metal albums ever imo.

I thought I read a little while back that they had signed with Seasons of Mist.

I like forward to any new Morbid Angel albums, and hopefully they will release a new CD soon.
Whenever they do release a new album Pete Sandoval will not be part of it. Apparently, like a lot of the older guys, he is suffering from back problems and recently had surgery. Huge bummer.

as long as it's been since their last album, waiting for Pete to recover before recording doesn't seem like such a big deal. especially since they made such a big deal about Vincent returning. not having Sandoval on board kinda cheapens it. i could understand if it was just a tour, but the recording? they should wait for Pete.
that said, Tim Yeung is a monster on the kit. he's no Commando though.
